The Chesapeake & Potomac Telephone Company Tie Bar/Clip
The Chesapeake & Potomac Telephone Company Tie Bar/Clip, the bar is 1/20 12 karat gold filled(G.F) and the emblem is solid 10 karat gold with a ruby. The gold filled bar is 1 7/8 inches wide and the emblem is 7/16 inches in diameter. Believed to be given for 20 years of service, from the 1950's era, does have a little wear but is still in good condition.
The company was originally founded in 1883 in DC, 1884 in Maryland, 1903 in Virginia. Otherwise known as, American Bell, AT&T and then Bell Atlantic, and now Verizon.
The last photo, I screenshotted, (from my smartphone) I just happened to run across it, and thought it was a cool piece of the history.. :)
